At the wound clinic you will receive instruction, information, guidance and advice on (complex) wound treatment. The wound consultant monitors the healing process and adjusts the treatment plan if necessary.

If you email before 11 am you will receive a reply the same day. Please include patient number and or name+ birth date. Photos can be attached so we can assess the wound remotely.
Note: The Surgery, Orthopedics and Plaster Room Poly building is the outdoor poly building next to the parking garage. That is building 14, route 1000.
Once you have made an appointment, an appointment letter will be sent to your home and/or you will receive an email. You can find your appointment in patient portal mijnLUMC There you will read when and where you are expected.
Changing an appointment is possible. Making a new appointment may take some time in busy periods.
A second opinion is the opinion or advice of a medical specialist other than your treating physician. If you have doubts about your doctor's diagnosis or proposed treatment, you can ask for such a second opinion. It also happens that your treating physician suggests that you ask for the opinion of another physician.
General information about visiting the outpatient clinic
Are you coming to the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) to visit a outpatient clinic? Then prepare yourself well. Especially for a first appointment for your examination or treatment. You will receive new information and many impressions. During your first appointment at the outpatient clinic, the doctor will often ask you a few questions about your symptoms. If necessary, the doctor will also do a small physical examination. Do you have several appointments? Then we try to schedule them on the same day
Are you visiting Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) for an appointment or treatment? And is this your first appointment? Please register first at one of the registration desks in the central hall. You will then receive a ticket that will summon you to the registration desk in the central hall to register. This way we can help you as best we can.
Follow-up appointment
Do you have a follow-up appointment? If so, please also register at one of the registration desks in the central hall of the hospital. You will be given a ticket with a QR code and a route number. You use this ticket for the registration desk at the department of your appointment.
There are several ways to get to the LUMC in the center of Leiden. The LUMC is within walking distance at the back of Leiden Central Station. All regional buses to Leiden also stop at Leiden Centraal. A number of buses stop next to LUMC, bus stop Bargelaan (rear of the station). All buses stop at the bus station at the front of the station.
Are you visiting Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) by car? You can park in the LUMC parking garage. There are also other paid parking lots. Are you coming to the LUMC urgently? There is an emergency parking lot near the Casualty department. You can only park there for a short time. There are also disabled parking spaces, charging stations for electric cars and bicycle parking.
