Thoracic Surgery

In the nursing wards, doctors, physician assistants and nurses provide specialized care to patients before and after undergoing heart and lung surgery. There are nurses present 24 hours a day who observe, support and provide care to the patients. Admission to the department is usually planned and starts before the operation. After the operation, it is customary for the patient to have a brief stay in IC, after which patients are returned to the nursing ward.
