Introduction
In 2023 I obtained my bachelor’s degree in medical and biological laboratory research in Leiden. During this degree I became acquainted with the basic techniques in laboratory research and specialized in immunology where I gained art.6 to work on in-vivo studies. During my internship at the department of immunology in the group of Prof. L.A. Trouw, I focused on the generation of autoantibodies against post-translational modification which are often present in systemic inflammatory diseases.
After my graduation I started working at the department of dermatology in the group of F. Scheeren. Our work is focused on the biological function of innate immune-checkpoints such as the role of CD47-SIRPα in different tumor models. Also, we focus on the role of therapeutic antibodies regarding immune oncological questions.
During my work as research technician I obtained in depth knowledge of Crispr-Cas9, cell culture, (spectral) flowcytometry, qPCR and functional ELISA assays.
