Introduction
I work at the department Public Health & Eerste Lijns Geneeskunde (PHEG) as a researcher for the quality of pharmaceutical care. To this I cooperate with colleagues at PHEG on topics as eHealth (Dutch eHealth Living Lab, NeLL) databases (for instance a database with data of General Practitioners, ELAN) and for qualitative research in lifestyle interventions or patient journeys.
Additionally I am a scientific advisor at the Royal Dutch Pharmacist Association in the Hague. Earlier at the LUMC I developed within the Master of Pharmacy teaching of Research competences. To this I got qualifications in teaching at basic and senior level. I supervise a number of PhD- and masterstudents. They work on various topics, for instance on asthma, COPD, diabetes, development of quality indicators, implementation of guidelines and patient journeys.

Scientific research
In 2020-2021 I was awarded the Best Practice Price of the students of the medical faculty for my blended teaching of statistics.
My research areas are: quality of pharmaceutical care in asthma, COPD and diabetes, pharmacoepidemiology, implementation of guidelines and innovation.
Actual research:
• Development of a core set of quality indicators for pharmaceutical diabetes care, measurement in different countries
• Development of pharmacoepidemiological algorithms, to support pharmacists and General Practiotioners to select those of their patients in need of additional care
• Development of eHealth applications in asthma and COPD patients to measure their drug use and health outcomes.
