Introduction
I am a senior (postdoc) researcher at the department of Public Health & Primary Care/ Health Campus the Hague. My focus areas are health disparities and lifestyle.
I have experience in studying health disparities and how to promote the health and well-being of youth, particularly at the local level (e.g. neighborhoods) and using collaborative community programs.
I work on projects focused on public health e.g. the development of a questionnaire to assess health in a broad perspective and evaluation of lifestyle interventions. I am a tutor at the master PHM, a teacher at the LUC and supervise interns. I use quantitative and qualitative methods for my research.
My background is in dietetics and nutrition. I completed my master degree in 2018 with a specialization in Epidemiology & Public Health. I started my PhD research in 2018 at the Erasmus MC. I obtained my PhD titled: “Public health at the local level: Promoting child and adolescent health and well-being” on June 20th in 2022.
