Scientific research
My research focuses on eHealth in the context of public health and primary and secondary care. Specific areas of focus: mental health, psychology, chronic diseases, lung diseases (asthma and COPD), and self-management.

A selection of projects:
- A ZonMw-funded cost-effectiveness study comparing data-supported, personalized, blended treatment for anxiety and mood disorders compared to usual care.

- An EIC Pathfinder project (EU) in which an international team aims to develop an innovative, portable breath analysis device and corresponding workflow for early detection of COPD exacerbations.

- The co-creation and evaluation of a smoking prevention program in VMBO schools.

- An experiment funded by the Ministry of VWS. In this study we investigated the feasibility and acceptability of a health app platform (‘FitKnip’) providing a budget to purchase preselected trustworthy health apps as an innovative way to support public health.
