H. (Henk) Scheper, MD, PhD

I am an internist-infectiologist with a specific interest in biofilm-related infections, such as prosthetic joint infections. In my daily work, I am actively involved in (outpatient) clinical care, student teaching and I contribute to the training programs for internists and internist-infectiologists. In the outpatient clinic, I treat patients with HIV and many other chronic infections. Regionally, we collaborate with specialists to improve care for patients with orthopedic device infections and other implant-related infections. Together with colleagues, I am currently co-leading a large Dutch multicenter study focused on improved treatment strategies for patients with prosthetic infections (The RiCOTTA studie).
