Area(s) of expertise:
Mathematical Modelling of Biological Processes, Data Science for Biology and Medicine, Bioinformatics and System Biology
Introduction
I am a mathematician working as a bioinformatician and data scientist at LUCID Research. With a background in pure and applied mathematics, my primary interest lies in mathematical modeling of biological processes and the development of algorithms and computational tools for biological and clinical research. My expertise include: modeling of immune system dynamics and infectious disease progression; evaluating of bioinformatics tools and molecular methods for detection of viruses and bacteria; conducting metagenomic analysis of human microbiome composition; developing software for data integration and visualization.
Scientific research
My research focuses on applying mathematical methods to biology and medicine. Currently, it includes using metagenomic sequencing to detect human pathogens in experimental and clinical settings, benchmarking laboratory and computational methods, and developing bioinformatics tools for diagnostics. Also, it involves studying pathogen and immune system interactions and the dynamics of human microbiomes in health and disease.
