During the end of my medical studies in Leiden I became interested in respiratory disease. After completing my degree, I becan working as a medical officer (ANIOS) in the field of pulmonology, which I soon supplemented with a research project leading to a doctorate.

Currently, I am employed as a physician-researcher at the PulmoScience Laboratory, where I conduct research on the side-effects of radiotherapy to the healthy lung tissue. After completion of my doctorate, I will begin my training to become a respiratory specialist.
