Research Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck surgery Department
Disorders of the head and neck
The research in our department is embedded within the TRF’s (Top Referential Function) and expert centers for rare diseases of the department. The LUMC has TRFs for Cochlear implants (CI), skull base tumors (SBT), paraganglioma and laryngology. In addition, we are acknowledged as an expert center for rare ear diseases and vestibular schwannoma and NF2.
In this way, research and the clinic complement each other by addressing questions/problems that arise in the clinic in research, and the resulting research innovations can be directly implemented in the clinic.
