Scientific research
I am Professor of Translational Neuro Oncology in the LUMC. I am also a neurosurgeon with a focus on oncology in the Haaglanden Medical Center. Unfortunately, the outlook for patients with malignant brain tumors is often still very bleak. New strategies for treatment and diagnosis are urgently needed.
The tanslational Neuro Oncology aims to develop and bring to the patient new treatment and diagnostic strategies to improve the outlook for people with brain tumors.

I am on the editorial board an Acta Neurosurgery and Brain and Spine.
