Introduction
Rolf Groenwold is professor of Clinical Epidemiology, with a focus on methods for research of medical treatments, at the department of Clinical Epidemiology and at the department of Biomedical Data Sciences of the LUMC. His research focuses on the development, improvement, and evaluation of methods for observational studies of medical treatments. Rolf combines his research into epidemiological methods with many collaborations on various clinical topics.
Rolf is also involved in teaching, for example as program director of the Epidemiologist B training (together with prof. dr. F.R. Rosendaal) and as coordinator of the course AWV2 (together with dr. C. Caram-Deelder). He is former chair and currently board member of the Netherlands Epidemiological Society. Rolf serves as a member of the Health Council of the Netherlands (Gezondheidsraad).
