Certificate of Good Conduct
The Justis department of the Dutch Ministry of Security and Justice cannot currently assess criminal records held by other countries. Consequently if you have lived outside of the Netherlands for more than 6 months in the past 5 years you need to obtain a criminal record check from the country you lived in. This is commonly referred to as a 'Certificate of Good Conduct' but has many different names including Certificate of Clearance and Certificate of no Criminal Conviction.

If a Certificate of Good Conduct does not exist in your country of origin a written statement to explain this, might be sufficient.
If you have been living in the Netherlands for the past 3-5 years, you may apply for a CGC with the Justis Service of the Ministry of Safety and Justice.
