After earning a PhD in genetics of cardiac arrhythmias (AMC) and finishing 2 post-doc projects (AMC/UMCU and Hospital for Sick Children - Canada), I am currently working as a clinical laboratory geneticist at the department of Clinical Genetics. Besides my work in diagnostics, I am involved in several research projects with a primary focus on:

- Hemogloblinopathies
- Implementation of RNAseq in clinical diagnostics as an adjunct to diagnostic exome sequencing and whole-genome sequencing.
