Even voorstellen
I am group leader at the division of Chemical Biology & Drug Discovery within the Cell and Chemical Biology (CCB) Department and head of the LUMC High-Throughput Screening Center.
After obtaining my masters in chemistry I did a PhD at the Leiden Institute of Chemistry in the field of chemical biology. I next moved to the Netherlands Cancer Institute to conduct postdoctoral research and spent a short time at the MRC-LMB in Cambridge, UK. Mid-2016 I started at the LUMC in the group of the late professor Huib Ovaa and since 2020 as group leader. The screening facility I am heading has been selected as the center of expertise within the Oncode Drug Repurposing Programme.
I teach 1st year students Biomedical sciences in the subjects of Biomolecules, Metabolism, Enzyme activity and inhibition, and Protein purification. I am also a member of the Educational Advisory Committee of Chemistry at the HLO (university of applied sciences) and member of the Chemical Probes Joint Management Committee within the IMI funded consortium EUbOPEN.
